Your Role and Responsibilities
Are you a Graduate Software Engineer who wants to be involved with cutting-edge Data, Machine Learning (ML), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and techniques to produce innovative products with real-world impact in the Healthcare sector ? If so, please read on.

Watson Health are expanding our team in Dublin. We are making a major investment in building a new green-field leading-edge ML and Data Platform to produce, serve, and operate innovative Health Care ML and Analytics models. The new platform is based on the Azure cloud platform.

We are a multidisciplinary team of data engineers, machine learning engineers, data scientists, designers, and business analysts. We work in python with a range of AI and Machine Learning approaches from Forecasting and Predictive Analytics to Natural Language Processing (NLP).
Our backend technology stack includes Python (as our main language), Java, Kubernetes, and a variety of storage technologies (Object Storage, RDBMS, Document, Graph). The CI/CD tool chain that we use includes GitHub, GH Actions, ZenHub, Gradle, Helm, Azure Pipelines, Argo and Artifactory.

We are looking for a creative, energetic Junior Software Engineer who has good knowledge of the Python ecosystem, and who enjoys working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team using agile approaches.
Additionally, if you have developed and deployed cloud-based data pipelines and microservices with some of the backend technologies in our stack, and/or if you have developed models with some of the ML and Analytics technologies that we use, this would be extremely beneficial.

Our current work environment is a hybrid model. We work remotely, meeting in the Dublin office as needed. Desks are also available on a more frequent basis for those who prefer to work in an office environment more regularly.

We work in a fast-moving area, with a wide range of technologies, so we very much support a learning environment and culture. We look for people who enjoy learning about and sharing new technologies and techniques, and their application to real-world challenges in the Healthcare sector.
